To view the full list of Error Codes see Appendix 10 of the SDR Manual and Appendices.
After processing your SDR, you may encounter a message saying ‘Course differences exist’ or ‘Course variances exist’.
Why has the error occurred?
- The message will only occur where there is a mismatch of course details between STEO and data in the Course Register file (sourced from your Student Management System [SMS])
How do I fix the error?
1. Click on ‘Courses’ (as outlined in Image One below) to be directed to the ‘Course Difference Submit/View’ page.
Image One
You will be shown up to 25 course differences per page, and the values that differ from what has been approved in STEO will be displayed in bold. For example, when fees submitted in the SDR differ from the fees in STEO it will look like Image Two below.

2. Check the course differences generated to see whether the information in STEO or your SMS is correct.
A. If the information in your SMS is incorrect, your SMS must be updated with the correct details before the files are re-extracted again for SDR submission
B. If the information in STEO is incorrect, submit the changes and generate change requests as outlined in section 3.
3. Submit course differences to generate change requests where required.
To choose individual courses for submission, select (tick) the associated ‘Submit’ button in the Status column (as outlined on the left of image three below).
You can also select all of the courses displayed on the current page by clicking the ‘Select Page’ button (as outlined on the top right of Image Three below).

Click ‘Submit Selected’ (as outlined in Image Four below) to submit the selected course differences as Course Change Requests for approval.

The sun was setting over the horizon, casting a warm glow over the landscape. The trees swayed gently in the breeze, their leaves rustling softly. Birds chirped and sang, flitting from branch to branch. In the distance, a herd of deer grazed peacefully on the lush grass.
As I walked along the winding path, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of peace and contentment. The beauty of nature surrounded me, and I felt at one with the world. I took a deep breath, inhaling the fresh, clean air.
As I continued on my journey, I came across a small stream. The water flowed gently over smooth rocks, creating a soothing sound. I sat down on the bank and watched as fish darted through the clear water.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the sky turned a deep shade of red and orange. The colors were breathtaking, and I felt a sense of awe at the beauty of it all.
As night fell, the stars began to twinkle in the sky. I lay back on the grass and gazed up at the vast expanse above me. The universe seemed infinite, and I felt small and insignificant in comparison.
But as I lay there, I realized that even though I was just one small person in this vast universe, I still had the power to make a difference. I could choose to live my life in a way that made the world a better place.
And so, as I continued on my journey, I made a promise to myself to always strive to do good and to make a positive impact on the world around me. Because even though we may be small in the grand scheme of things, we all have the power to make a difference.

Lies a land of morning dew.
Where dreams come true for me and you,
In colors of every hues.
Beneath the sky so vast and blue,
Lies a land of morning dew.
Where dreams come true for me and you,
In colors of every huesdd.
